Credit Cam is a mobile application owned and operated by CM 30 Development, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The app helps users discover financing options for purchases by analyzing photos of items. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Information You Provide Directly

• Email address and password — collected at account registration, used to authenticate your identity
• Credit score range — collected during onboarding (e.g., Poor, Fair, Good, Excellent), used to filter financing recommendations to products you may qualify for
• Home buying interest and timeframe — collected during onboarding to surface mortgage-related products if relevant
• US state of residence — collected during onboarding, used to tailor financing products available in your state

2b. Information Collected When You Use the App

• Photos — when you take or upload a photo, the image is sent to our servers for analysis. We identify the item, estimate its value, and in the case of vehicles, attempt to detect the make, model, and year
• Scan history — each completed scan (item name, estimated price, date, financing recommendations) is saved to your account so you can reference it later
• Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version, used for debugging and compatibility

2c. Analytics Data

• Usage events — we track actions such as completing a scan, completing onboarding, and navigating between screens. This data is anonymized and used to understand how users interact with the app and improve the experience

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not access your actual credit report or credit file from any bureau
• We do not store your photos after analysis is complete — images are processed and immediately discarded
• We do not read, store, or transmit your contacts except to facilitate friend invitations you explicitly initiate
• We do not track your location
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app. Each has access only to the data necessary for their function.

• Authentication and data storage provider — stores your account data, credit profile, and scan history
• Analytics provider — receives anonymized usage events and device type to help us improve the app
• Image processing provider — receives photos you submit for analysis; images are not retained after processing

6. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored on our hosting infrastructure, which uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication tokens on your device are stored in encrypted secure storage (iOS Keychain via expo-secure-store) and are never stored in plain text.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account, which permanently removes all your data from our systems.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Opt out of analytics data collection

8. Children's Privacy

Credit Cam is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete their information promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as the app evolves. When we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and notify you within the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
